Whenever we hear or read the words “You are Invited” we usually expect some exciting words to follow. “You are invited to a party!” Or, “You are invited to be the next contestant on the Price is Right!” At first glance, the invitation we are extending may seem a little less than exciting. However, when thinking deeper, it is the most exciting invitation ever extended. You are invited to come and worship with us at the Towne Acres church of Christ. What comes with this invitation?

• If you accept this invitation you will be able to hear the message of salvation and have the opportunity to accept. Jesus said, “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). You will learn how to come to Christ through obedience to His word! You will learn how to have your sins washed away (Acts 22:16). You will learn how to go to heaven to live forever when this life is over (John 14:1-6). And if this is not exciting enough, there is more!
• If you accept this invitation you will be able to be a part of pure, New Testament worship. You will get to worship in the manner in which Peter, Paul, Barnabas and others worshipped. You will get to sing songs of praise to God (Ephesians 5:19). You will get to hear the gospel preached (2 Timothy 4:2). You will get to pray with others (1 Thessalonians 5:17). You will get to remember the Lord?s death in the Lord?s Supper (Acts 20:7). When you obey the gospel of Christ, the privilege of worship is yours!
• This invitation is free! You will not be asked to give, nor will you ever be charged for anything that the church of Christ offers. The Bible teaches that members of a local congregation must give upon the first day of the week (1 Corinthians 16:2), but you, as our guest, will not be expected to give. We are interested in your soul, not your money!
